About JNPT

Hi, my name is Jack Nesbitt. I’m the owner & founder of JNPT.

I started as a PT in 2017, working in a large commercial gym. While I wanted to help as many people as possible, I found the environment was holding me back. I wanted a place where I could take my clients on a journey in a safe and supportive space where they could really thrive.

In 2018, I opened JNPT Studio here in Mount Barker and we haven’t looked back since. Over time, things have evolved from outdoor group classes to nutritional coaching and more, but at the centre of it all has always been my passion for strength training.

The fitness industry is full of misinformation, especially when it comes to lifting correctly.

My goal is to not only teach you how to lift safely and effectively but also help you understand your body and how to get it working at its best.

As we get older it becomes harder to build and maintain muscle. When we lose muscle, we lose strength, balance, and function, which can lead to chronic issues and injuries. Strength training builds muscle, strengthens bones, supports mental wellbeing, improves balance, and helps you stay active for life.

I also believe getting stronger builds confidence well beyond the gym. Pushing past what you thought your body could do helps you handle challenges outside of training too.

At JNPT, I work with people who have never picked up a dumbbell as well as those who have been training for years but have not seen the results they want. What everyone has in common now is a drive to get stronger, stay consistent, and commit to better long-term health.

What We Do

Group Strength Training

Group Strength is what JNPT is all about. It’s about building a strong, capable, healthy body for long-term health, no matter your current fitness level.

Sessions are intimate, with a maximum of 6 people in the gym and are focused on you as the individual, unlike typical large group fitness classes. You receive a fully custom program each block based on your goals, fitness level, and any limitations you may have.

Your coach works very closely with you to achieve the best results week in and week out. At JNPT, everyone is coached on an individual level, and ongoing adjustments are made to your program to meet your specific needs, just like in a 1:1 personal training format.

Group Strength is perfect for anyone who wants to learn how to lift weights safely and correctly, build a strong healthy body, and train in a safe, friendly, and community-orientated environment.

Most people start Group Strength to develop great training habits and often stay to become long-term members and an active part of the community. While we are serious about teaching people how to lift at a high level, we are just as serious about having fun with it.
